Teacher's Manual
Thank you for registering with the Music in Mind E-learning platform. We look forward to getting you and your students started!
With the teachers account you can manage when the students access the courses as well as grade them. Students use their own personal accounts to watch video and complete lesson plans. Students will only be able to view the course once you have added them.
Our system is still in development, so please be patient as we continue to upgrade to provide you with the best experience.
How do students create an account?
We’ve already done it for you! Use you the excel document that’s been provided to your school and share the usernames to your students.
They just need to log in at www.learn.musicinmind.ca
Students will have to change their password once they log in for the first time.
Students will be able to see the course material once you’ve added them (see below to find out how)
Feel free to update this document for your own use and keep it internal to your school.
Tip: Some schools have a password protected google excel doc that is shared internally among teacher’s to track which students accounts reference which class.
Where do I find my excel document with the student list?
The person who first registered your school will have that list. Usually the principal or VP, please contact one of them. It will look like the image to the right.

How do I add a student to a course?
1. Select “My courses”
2. Choose the course that you would like to assign a student to
3. Click Participants (top left)
4. Click “Enrol users” (bottom right/top)
5. Search and select the student(s)
6. Choose “student” under assign roles
7. Optional – set a start and end date
8. Click enrol
How do I grade a student?
1. Select “My courses” and choose the course that you would like to mark
2. Select “Grades” from menu (top left)
3. Select “Grade Report”
4. Locate the student you’d like to mark
5. Select the grades booklet icon beside their name
6. Select what you would like to mark
7. Under comments there is part to input marks for short answers and essays
Note:
Quiz marks are given immediately, but short answers and essays questions must be marked by you before it populates under the student accounts.
Some courses have Teacher Support Material available that is only visible to you.
I rather not have student have accounts?
No problem! Simply use the teachers account and screen share through your current teaching platform.
However, by using the student accounts, your student can take quizzes, complete questions and you won’t be able to grade them.
